Terms of Use
Tap by ServiceAi · last updated 23 August 2026
By using Tap by ServiceAi you agree to these terms. The app is provided by ServiceAi (Brandon Cambron).
What the service does
The app writes a web address onto NFC cards you supply and lets you change where those cards send people. Cards store an address only; the destination is a setting on our service and can be changed at any time.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your admin key private. Anyone holding it can change where your cards point.
- Only point cards at content you have the right to distribute.
- Do not use the service to mislead people about where a link goes, or to distribute malware, or for anything unlawful.
Access codes are not security
An access code shown before a destination is a convenience gate. Anyone with the code can proceed, and destinations may be reachable directly by anyone who learns their address. Do not place confidential material behind it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. A card is only as reachable as the internet connection of the phone tapping it.
Cards and hardware
NFC cards are physical goods and can be damaged, lost, or permanently locked by other software. We are not responsible for hardware you supply. A card locked read-only by any means cannot be rewritten.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans bill monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not pro-rate partial periods.
If a payment fails
We retry a failed payment several times over roughly two weeks. What happens to your account while that runs is fixed and stated here so there are no surprises:
- Your card and your profile never stop working. Anyone who taps your card still reaches your page, no matter the state of your account. We will not take a page offline over a billing problem, because the people tapping your card are not the people who owe us money.
- Days 1–7 past due: nothing changes. Everything keeps working while we retry.
- Days 8–30 past due: paid services pause — your business number stops sending and receiving, and the AI receptionist stops answering. You can still read your existing messages, and we keep your phone number reserved for you.
- After 30 days past due: your phone number is released and cannot be recovered. If that number is printed on a vehicle, a sign, or existing cards, it will stop reaching you permanently. We will email you before this happens.
Paying the outstanding amount at any point before day 30 restores everything immediately, including your original number. Your contacts, leads, message history and card destinations are never deleted for non-payment.
Included minutes
Plans including the AI receptionist come with a monthly allowance of answered minutes, shown on your dashboard. Beyond the allowance, additional minutes are billed at the per-minute rate shown at checkout. The allowance resets at the start of each billing period and does not roll over.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time; email us to have your data deleted. We may suspend access for breach of these terms. If you close your account, we release any phone number assigned to it after 30 days.
Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
